Social Media Data

When you connect your Facebook or Instagram pages through the Meta Graph API, we access and store:

  • Page names, IDs, and access tokens (encrypted at rest)
  • Posts, comments, and comment threads from your connected pages
  • Direct messages (DMs) exchanged between your pages and your contacts
  • Contact information including names, profile pictures, and platform-specific identifiers

Contact and CRM Data

Our platform maintains contact records that may include names, email addresses, phone numbers, tags, notes, lead scores, sentiment analysis, lifecycle stages, and conversation history. If you enable HubSpot integration, contact data is synced between our platform and your HubSpot account.

AI-Processed Data

Messages and conversations may be processed by third-party AI services (Anthropic Claude and OpenAI) to provide features such as message classification, suggested responses, sentiment analysis, and workflow automation. We send only the minimum data necessary for each AI operation.

Billing Information

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription details but never store full credit card numbers on our servers.

Usage and Technical Data

We collect standard technical data including IP addresses, browser type, device information, and pages visited. We use session cookies for authentication and may use analytics tools to understand how our services are used.

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Social Automate platform
  • Process and manage your social media conversations and contacts
  • Execute automated workflows and AI-powered message classification
  • Sync data with third-party integrations you authorize (e.g., HubSpot, Meta)

  • Service providers: Stripe (payments), Anthropic and OpenAI (AI processing), Meta (social media APIs), HubSpot (CRM sync), and infrastructure providers that host our platform
  • Team members: Other members of your organization's account can access shared contacts, conversations, and workflows according to their assigned roles
  • Legal requirements: When required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights, safety, or property

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Contact records, conversation history, and workflow data are retained according to your account's settings. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it.
